Helpful consumer’s review
I purchased this camera last December (10 months ago), mainly for my work as an insurance inspector. I use this camera constantly (so much that I have worn off the model number on the front), taking 100’s of pictures in a day, in all sorts of weather conditions and all sorts of light. In the main, I am extremely pleased. It is durable. I’ve dropped it several times and its ok. The lens retracts and covers itself when you turn off the camera so you don’t have to worry about scratching it. Most of the time I use it with the automatic settings mode, and it takes great pictures. There are only two minor downsides. First, this camera requires you to hold it very still to get a good sharp picture. Even a very strong wind can make it hard to hold it still enough. Not recommended for someone with any kind of hand tremors or unsteadiness. Second, sometimes the view finder is so bright that it is hard to see the details of the photo (the actual photo is usually fine). I have not been able to figure out how to fix this permanently. The problem comes and goes and I haven’t discerned a pattern yet. Not fatal, but sometimes annoying. For the money, and it was under a hundred (almost half that!) when and where I bought it, it is a very awesome camera. I wish I had bought two!
