ASR is a proprietary technology that helps to minimize the effects of hand shake and ensure that the best shots are captured in dimly lit conditions or where the use of a flash is not desirable.
By using the L830’s Face Detection feature, which detects up to nine faces and automatically adjusts focus and exposure to ensure better composition and image quality, shooters can easily improve the photos that they take of their family and friends. The L830 is also equipped with Samsung’s i-movie mode, which offers users SVGA resolution (800 x 592), MPEG-4 video, and advanced editing controls. By using the camera’s Successive Recording mode, users can pause and then resume filming of video clips without having to save the clips as individual files. Enabling users to further express their creativity is the “Fun” feature. I purchased this camera for my father for Christmas. He had previously used a Fuji fine pix that had to have the alkaline batteries replaced very frequently. It was very important to me that the rechargeable batteries last a long time. I have a Samsung digital camera as well and knew that the rechargeable battery held it’s charge a long time. This camera does not disappoint. It takes great pictures and is very user friendly. I wanted to make sure the buttons were easily distinguishable and simple for him to decipher. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to others because of it’s great picture quality, long life rechargeable battery and ease of use.
